Legal
Terms & Conditions
By downloading, installing, or using AI EYE Inspector ("the extension"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the extension.
1. License
AI EYE Inspector is open-source software released under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, and distribute the software subject to the terms of that license.
This website and the distributed extension builds are provided for your convenience. Nothing in these terms restricts rights already granted by the MIT License.
2. Permitted Use
You may use AI EYE Inspector to:
- Inspect the semantic structure and accessibility of any webpage you have permission to access
- Generate AI-powered content summaries using your own API keys or a local model
- Export page analysis reports for professional audits, development work, or research
3. Prohibited Use
You must not use the extension to:
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from websites in violation of their terms of service
- Circumvent access controls or security measures on any website or system
- Conduct automated bulk analysis without appropriate authorisation from the site owner
- Use AI-generated summaries in a way that misrepresents their origin or accuracy
4. Third-Party AI Services
If you configure the extension to use OpenAI or another external AI provider, you are responsible for:
- Complying with that provider's terms of service and usage policies
- Any costs incurred by API calls made using your credentials
- Ensuring the content you submit to that provider is permitted under their policies
AI EYE Inspector has no affiliation with OpenAI or any other third-party AI provider. We are not responsible for the output, availability, or pricing of any external service.
5. No Warranty
The extension is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
AI-generated summaries are produced by language models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. Do not rely on them as a substitute for professional accessibility audits, legal advice, or editorial review.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the authors and contributors of AI EYE Inspector shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the extension, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
7. Manual Installation Responsibility
AI EYE Inspector is distributed outside of the Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons store. By installing an unpacked extension you acknowledge that:
- You have reviewed the source code or trust the source from which you downloaded it
- Enabling Developer Mode in your browser is a decision you make at your own risk
- You should only download the extension from the official website or the official GitHub repository
8. Updates
Because the extension is not distributed through a browser store, updates are not applied automatically. You are responsible for checking this website or the GitHub repository for new releases and updating the extension manually.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the extension after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
